Dr. Hiltruda Temba Senior Coordinator for External Engagement Hiltruda Chrisant Temba works with PEPFAR Coordination Office at the US Embassy, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania since 2018 as Senior Coordinator for External Engagement. She serves as PCO liaison with the Global Fund, UNAIDS and other development partners, Non State Actors and the Government of Tanzania.. Dr. Temba is a medical doctor, graduate from Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She has Master of Public Health in International Health from Japan National Institute of Public Health and; Master of Science in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from London School of Economics and Political Sciences and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in United Kingdom.
Health in Tanzania before joining PEPFAR for over 15 years of which in the last 12 years she was GFATM Coordinator. She has contributed to strategic plans development, proposal development, planning and budgeting, reporting, monitoring and evaluation of health programs. She has more than 20 years of experience working in Tanzania health systems as a public health specialist and more than 15 years of experience in grants management. She Co-chair Development Partners Group on AIDS (DPG AIDS) with UNAIDS and sits in Development Partners Group on Health (DPG Health). She is a member of Global Fund -Country Coordinating Mechanism. She also serves in the Global Fund Country Co-ordinating Mechanisms Management Committee. Dr Temba is married and a Tanzania national.
